Getting Started
How do I create a RestoWeb account?
Go to the signup page and follow the guided setup: enter your name, email, password and restaurant name, then choose your restaurant’s web address, dining areas, service hours and capacity. The whole flow takes a few minutes and your restaurant website is created immediately. Every plan starts with a free 14-day trial.
How long does it take to build a restaurant website with RestoWeb?
Minutes, not weeks. After signup, open Dashboard → Website, describe your restaurant, and the AI generator produces a complete website — hero, about section, menu layout and images — that you can accept or fine-tune. See the full walkthrough in our website launch tutorial.
Do I need technical skills to use RestoWeb?
Does RestoWeb have a free trial?
Yes — every plan includes a free 14-day trial so you can publish your website, build your QR menu and take real reservations before deciding. Start your free trial to begin.
What happens when my free trial ends?
If you don’t pick a paid plan, your account simply moves to the Free plan — you keep your account and your restaurant website stays online. Paid features like QR menus, the booking widget, the CRM and automations pause until you upgrade at any time from Dashboard → Upgrade.
What languages does RestoWeb support?
RestoWeb is available in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese — for your dashboard, your public website and the emails guests receive. Your website’s language is independent from your dashboard language, so you can manage in English while guests see French.
Pricing & Billing
How much does RestoWeb cost?
RestoWeb has four plans — Free, Essentiel, Pro and Elite — billed monthly or yearly, and every plan takes 0% commission on reservations. Current prices and a full feature comparison are on our pricing page.
Is RestoWeb really commission-free?
Yes. Unlike delivery and booking marketplaces, RestoWeb never takes a cut of your reservations — you pay one flat subscription, whether you get ten bookings or a thousand. That’s the core difference we explain in our Deliveroo & Glovo comparison.
What does each plan include?
Every plan includes your restaurant website and digital menu. Essentiel adds QR menus, the guest CRM and team accounts. Pro adds online bookings on your site, the embeddable widget, automations, the AI menu scanner, floor plan and table management, and custom domains. Elite covers multiple restaurants with optional extra-restaurant add-ons. Full breakdown on the pricing page.
Can I pay yearly instead of monthly?
Yes — both billing cycles are available and the yearly option is discounted. You can switch the monthly/yearly toggle on the pricing page or in Dashboard → Upgrade to compare.
How do I upgrade my plan?
In your dashboard, open Dashboard → Upgrade, pick a plan and billing cycle, and complete secure checkout. Your new features unlock as soon as payment is confirmed. Step-by-step: how to upgrade your plan.
How do I redeem a coupon code?
Open Dashboard → Upgrade (or Settings → Billing), enter your code in the coupon field and click Redeem. If valid, the plan tied to the coupon activates immediately and you’ll get a confirmation email with the end date. Coupons can’t be stacked on an active paid subscription.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
Open Settings → Billing and use the customer portal to change plan, update your billing details or cancel. If you cancel, you keep paid features until the end of the billing period, then your account moves to the Free plan — your website stays online.
Website & Templates
Can RestoWeb build my restaurant website for me?
Yes — describe your restaurant in a sentence or two and the AI website generator creates the entire site: hero, about story, menu presentation, FAQ section and imagery. You review a preview, then accept it or edit anything. Learn more on the restaurant website builder page.
How many website templates are there — and can I switch later?
Six professionally designed templates: Historic Elegance, Roma Editorial, Modern Bistro, Classic Pizzeria, The Atelier and The Oriental, each with its own color themes, fonts and light/dark mode. You can switch templates at any time in Dashboard → Website without losing your content.
Can I edit my website myself after it’s live?
Absolutely. Dashboard → Website lets you change the hero title and images, the about section, menu display, FAQ items, navigation links and custom sections — changes appear on your live site as soon as you save.
Can I add extra pages like “Private Events” or “Contact”?
Yes. In Dashboard → Website, open the Pages tab and click Add Page: give it a title and it gets its own address (for example /private-events), then build it with header, text, image, carousel and button blocks. Guide: add a custom page.
Can I use my own photos and videos?
Yes — upload your own images (or a background video) for the hero, about section and custom blocks. If you don’t have photography yet, RestoWeb can pull polished stock imagery matched to your restaurant’s style.
Does my RestoWeb site support SEO and analytics?
Yes. Every site ships with proper page titles, descriptions and social-share tags, and you can plug in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel from Dashboard → Website (Tracking tab). Booking sources are tracked with UTM data so you know which campaigns fill tables.
Is RestoWeb a good alternative to WordPress or Wix?
For restaurants, yes — you get a website plus commission-free reservations, QR menus, a guest CRM and automations in one subscription, with zero plugins or maintenance. See the detailed comparisons: RestoWeb vs WordPress and RestoWeb vs Wix. Using a link-in-bio tool? There’s also our Linktree alternative.
Reservations & Booking Widget
How do guests book a table on my RestoWeb website?
Your site includes a Reserve page with a simple form: name, phone, email, date, time and party size (1–30 guests). The booking lands in your dashboard as “pending”, the guest gets an email confirmation, and any automations you’ve set up fire instantly. Online booking through your website is available on Pro and Elite; see how the reservation system works.
Does RestoWeb take a commission on reservations?
Never — 0% commission on every plan, forever. Your subscription is the only cost, no matter how many covers you book.
Can I add phone or walk-in reservations manually?
Yes, on every plan. In Dashboard → Reservations, click Add Reservation, enter the guest’s details, date, time and party size, and it’s saved instantly — manual bookings also update your CRM and can trigger your automations.
What happens when a new booking comes in?
The reservation appears in Dashboard → Reservations with “pending” status, the guest receives a confirmation email, and you’re alerted by email (and WhatsApp, if connected). From there you confirm or decline with one click — the guest is automatically notified either way.
Can I embed the booking widget on a website I already have?
Yes (Pro and Elite). Copy one small snippet from your dashboard and paste it into any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — and a booking button appears that opens your reservation form. Follow the widget embed tutorial.
Can I customize how the booking button looks?
Yes — set the button text, background color, text color and corner radius so it matches your brand. The widget itself stays lightweight with a transparent background so it blends into any page.
How do I mark guests as arrived or as no-shows?
On any reservation in Dashboard → Reservations, use “Showed up” or “No-show”. Each one can trigger its own automation — for example a thank-you-plus-review message after a visit, or a gentle “we missed you” email after a no-show.
Can I export my reservations?
Yes — one click in Dashboard → Reservations downloads a CSV with names, phones, emails, dates, times, party sizes and statuses, respecting your current filters. Your data is always yours.
Tables & Floor Plan
Can I design my restaurant’s floor plan in RestoWeb?
Yes (Pro and Elite). Dashboard → Tables gives you a drag-and-drop designer: create zones like “Main Dining” and “Patio”, then place tables with a label, shape, rotation and min/max seat capacity. See restaurant table management.
How does automatic table assignment work?
When a booking arrives, RestoWeb finds the best-fitting free table for the party size and time window, factoring in your default seating duration (120 minutes) and turnover buffer (15 minutes). If no single table fits, it tries approved table combinations; if nothing works, the booking is flagged for manual seating.
Can RestoWeb combine tables for large parties?
Yes — mark which tables are combinable in the floor-plan editor, and the assignment engine will merge them automatically when a party is too large for any single table.
How does RestoWeb prevent double-booking a table?
Every assignment reserves the table for the full seating window plus your turnover buffer, and assignments are written atomically so two overlapping bookings can never grab the same table — even if they arrive at the same moment.
Can I see which tables are occupied right now?
Yes — the Live view in Dashboard → Tables colors every table in real time (available, occupied, recently freed, out of service) and includes a time slider so you can preview occupancy at any hour of the day.
Can I take a table out of service?
Yes — untick “Active” on any table in the floor-plan editor and it’s excluded from auto-assignment until you switch it back on. Handy for maintenance, private events or seasonal patio closures.
Guest CRM
Does RestoWeb build a guest database automatically?
Yes. Every reservation — online or manual — creates or updates a guest profile with name, phone, email, visit history and even the marketing source that brought them in. No data entry required. Learn more: restaurant CRM.
How does VIP detection work?
Guests are automatically flagged as VIPs once they cross a visit threshold (3 visits by default), and they get a crown badge in your contact list so your team recognizes regulars at a glance.
Can I add private notes to a guest’s profile?
Yes — open any contact and add free-form notes (“window seat”, “gluten-free”, “anniversary in June”). Notes are visible to your team only, never to the guest.
Can I message all my guests at once?
Yes — the CRM’s bulk messaging lets you send a promo to all contacts, VIPs only, or recent visitors, by email and/or WhatsApp. It’s the fastest way to fill a slow night: see the tutorial.
Can I export my guest list?
Yes — download a CSV of names, phones, emails, visit counts and VIP status anytime from Dashboard → CRM. Your guest data belongs to you.
Which plans include the CRM?
The guest CRM is included on Essentiel, Pro and Elite. Bulk WhatsApp messaging additionally requires a connected WhatsApp account (Pro and Elite). Details on the pricing page.
Automations & WhatsApp
What are RestoWeb automations?
Visual workflows that react to reservation events — for example: new booking → send WhatsApp confirmation → wait until 1 hour before the reservation → send a reminder. You build them by connecting blocks on a canvas, no code. Overview: restaurant automations.
Can RestoWeb send WhatsApp messages to my guests automatically?
Yes (Pro and Elite). Connect your WhatsApp account once — by scanning a QR code — and your workflows can send confirmations, reminders and review requests, personalized with the guest’s name, date, time and party size.
How do I reduce no-shows with RestoWeb?
Build a reminder workflow: trigger on new booking, add a Delay set to “1 hour before the reservation”, then a WhatsApp message like “See you at [Heure] today, [Nom]!”. Owners use exactly this recipe in our no-show reminder tutorial.
Can I ask guests for Google reviews automatically?
Yes — trigger a workflow on “guest showed up” and send a thank-you email or WhatsApp message that includes your review link. Only guests who actually visited get asked, which keeps your reviews authentic. Tutorial: grow Google reviews automatically.
Can workflows treat large parties differently?
Yes — Condition blocks branch your workflow on rules like “guests greater than 6”, so big groups can get a VIP welcome or a call-to-confirm message while standard bookings follow the normal path.
What events can trigger an automation?
Five reservation events: new booking, booking confirmed, booking cancelled, guest showed up, and guest no-show. Each workflow listens to one event and can be enabled or paused with a toggle.
Do I need to know how to code to build automations?
No — the builder is fully visual: drag blocks (WhatsApp message, email, merchant alert, condition, delay) onto a canvas and connect them. Personalization uses simple placeholders like [Nom], [Date], [Heure], [Personnes] and [Restaurant].
Domains & Website Address
What web address does my restaurant website get?
Every restaurant gets a free address like yourrestaurant.rezto.co the moment you sign up — you pick the name during setup and it’s live immediately.
Can I use my own domain name, like mybistro.com?
Yes (Pro and Elite). Add your domain in Dashboard → Website (Domain tab), create one CNAME record at your domain registrar, and click Verify. Both mybistro.com and www.mybistro.com will work. Guide: connect a custom domain.
How long does connecting a domain take?
Usually 15–60 minutes — that’s DNS propagation, not RestoWeb. The Domain tab shows a live status indicator so you know exactly when it’s verified.
Do I have to buy my domain through RestoWeb?
No — use any registrar you like (OVH, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains…). RestoWeb only needs a single CNAME record pointing your domain to your site.
Team & Accounts
Can my staff have their own logins?
Yes — invite unlimited team members from Settings → Team (available on all paid plans). Each person gets their own login and a role that controls what they can see and change.
What’s the difference between the Manager and Staff roles?
Managers can run the business — reservations, CRM, menu, website and automations — but can’t touch billing, team management or ownership. Staff get read-only access to reservations, guest profiles and seating, perfect for the host stand. Only the owner manages billing and the team.
How do I invite a team member?
Settings → Team → Add Team Member: enter their email, choose Manager or Staff, and send. They receive an email invitation; if they’re new to RestoWeb, an account is created for them automatically when they accept.
How do I remove someone’s access?
In Settings → Team, open the member’s row and click Remove, then confirm. Their access ends immediately; you can also change their role (Manager ↔ Staff) at any time instead.
Data, Languages & Privacy
What language will my restaurant website be in?
You choose — English, French, Spanish or Portuguese. It’s set from your signup language and you can change it anytime; guest emails follow the same language.
Can my dashboard be in a different language than my website?
Yes — the two are independent. Run your dashboard in English while your public website and guest emails stay in French, or any other combination of the four languages.
Who owns my guest and reservation data?
You do. Export your reservations and your full contact list as CSV whenever you want, directly from the dashboard — no lock-in, no request forms.
Is my data secure?
Yes — all sensitive operations (bookings, billing, team changes, table assignments) run through RestoWeb’s secured servers with strict per-role access rules, so staff, managers and owners each see only what they should. Payments are processed by a dedicated payment provider; RestoWeb never stores card numbers.
