The reservation book is costing you covers.

A paper book or a shared spreadsheet can’t tell you whether the 8:30 party of six actually fits — so you either turn away bookings you could have seated, or promise a table twice and open the night with an apology.

Combine two tables in your head, remember the turnover, hope nobody wrote over the 7pm… it works until it’s busy. Which is exactly when it breaks.

Your floor plan is a system. It should behave like one.

From dining room to smart seating in three steps

1

Draw your floor plan.

Drag tables onto a canvas, group them into zones (main room, terrace, bar), and set each table’s shape, seat count, and which tables can be combined. Ten minutes, once.

2

Bookings assign themselves.

When a reservation arrives — from your website, the widget, or the phone — RestoWeb finds the best-fit table (or combines two) and holds it, with a turnover buffer so the next party never overlaps.

3

Run the night at a glance.

See who’s seated where in real time, move a party to another table in a tap, and free a table the moment it turns. No clashes, no guesswork.

A seating system built for a real dining room

Visual floor plan designer

Drag-and-drop tables, colored zones, custom shapes, sizes, and rotation — your screen matches your actual room.

Automatic best-fit assignment

Every booking is matched to the smallest table that fits the party, keeping big tables free for big groups.

Smart table combining

Tell RestoWeb which tables can join, and it merges them automatically to seat larger parties.

Double-bookings made impossible

Every assignment is conflict-checked against the schedule, so the same table is never promised to two overlapping parties.

Turnover buffer between seatings

Set a cleanup gap (e.g. 15 min) and a default dining duration (e.g. 120 min); bookings are spaced so service flows.

Live seating view

See the whole room in real time — assigned, seated, and free — and reassign a party in a single tap.

Manual override, always

Auto-assign does the routine work; you can move, force, or free any table yourself whenever you want.

Zones for every space

Main dining, patio, bar, private room — organize and seat each area separately.

“A notebook has worked fine for years.”

Until the Saturday it doesn’t — the double-booked window table, the party of eight you couldn’t fit because nobody could see the combinations, the new host who can’t read the old shorthand. Every one of those is a lost cover or an unhappy guest.

Table management isn’t about replacing your judgment; it’s about never dropping a booking when you’re slammed. RestoWeb does the arithmetic — who fits where, for how long, without clashing — so your team runs the room instead of the book.

And it’s part of one platform: bookings from your reservation system seat themselves, guests land in your CRM, and reminders go out through automations. Floor plan and tables are included on Pro and Elite — see pricing.

Frequently asked questions

What is restaurant table management software?

It’s a tool that tracks your tables and which reservation sits at each one. You build a digital floor plan, and the software assigns bookings to the right tables, prevents double-bookings, and shows live seating during service. RestoWeb includes table management on its Pro and Elite plans.

How does RestoWeb stop double bookings?

Every reservation is assigned to an actual table and checked against the day’s schedule, including a turnover buffer between seatings. If a table is already taken for an overlapping window, it simply can’t be assigned again — so two parties are never promised the same table.

Can it combine tables for larger parties?

Yes. You define which tables can be joined, and when a big booking arrives RestoWeb automatically combines the right tables to seat the party, then treats them as one for the duration of the meal.

Can I assign tables manually?

Absolutely. Auto-assignment handles the routine work, but you can move a party, force a specific table, or free one at any time — the floor plan is always yours to control.

How long does a booking hold a table?

You set a default dining duration (for example, 120 minutes) and a turnover buffer (for example, 15 minutes) for cleanup. RestoWeb uses those to space reservations so the next party is never seated on top of the last.

Do I need the floor plan to take reservations?

No. You can take commission-free bookings without it. Table management is an upgrade for busier rooms that want automatic seating and zero clashes — available on Pro and Elite. Learn more about the reservation system.
